Salon International with the Clipso salons team

This week I worked with the Clipso Salon Creative Team at Salon International. This is a huge annual event at London’s Excel, showcasing hair stylists from all over the world. On the Saturday, I worked with the Clipso team preparing six models for the HJ stage. Three hair stylists – Jack, Kim & Freya created their designs on the girls. They wanted to go with an androgynous look with the make up & styling. I gave all the girls strong brows, nude eyes with just mascara and a sweep of gloss on the lid. Then completed the look with “Hang up” lip colour by MAC.

The second day, I worked with Serafina, who was showcasing her skills on the Fellowship stage. We had two models to prepare, with Serafina creating lots of texture with micro-crimpers and a modern twist on Victory rolls. I gave the girls soft smokey eyes using bronze tones, as seen at Lanvin S/S 2012 collection with brushed up brows, much like Versace did with their S/S 2012 collection.

In the afternoon, I worked with Kim Rance, again at the Fellowship stage. Kim was showcasing long hair on two models. With make-up, we took inspiration from Christopher Kane’s S/S 2012 collection with really fresh dewey skin and hints of pink & yellow on the eyes to compliment the clothes.

It was a great weekend, with a fantastic team. Hopefully, I’ll be able to take part next year again!
